Gucchi:

Three different sub-atomic particles are described below: Particle X: Uncharged Particle Y: Present outside the nucleus Particle Z: Attracts Particle Y Which statement is true? X is a neutron, Y is an electron, and Z is a proton. X is a neutron, Y is a proton, and Z is an electron. X is a proton, Y is an electron, and Z is a neutron. X is an electron, Y is a proton, and Z is a neutron.

I believe so.

Gucchi:

Thank you

Timmyspu:

No problem!

carmelle:

I agree, A is correct. Neutrons are in fact, uncharged. Particle Y would be the electron since they revolve around the nucleus in the `electron cloud`. And Particle Z would be proton since protons and neutrons `attract` each other.

Gucchi:

thank you thats a perfect explanation

carmelle:

np, anytime ;)
