In the Experiment Chemical Reactions I, what two products are formed from the combustion of the magnesium ribbon in the air? magnesium hydroxide and magnesium oxide magnesium carbonate and magnesium ribbon magnesium hydride and magnesium hydroxide magnesium nitride and magnesium oxide

Alexis1415:

This is from a source i found hopefully this is useful: "When magnesium metal is burned in air, two products are produced. One is magnesium oxide, MgO. The other is the product of the reaction of Mg with molecular nitrogen, magnesium nitride. When water is added to magnesium nitride, it reacts to form magnesium oxide and ammonia gas." To sum this up it means that the reactants of magnesium metal being burned into the air there are two specific products aka two molecular contaminants, Magnesiumoxide MgO and Molecular nitrogen Mg

Mathplayer223:

so its D
