JakFishman:

Ok. so do you know what your formula for this equation is?

Foreverangel:

x + y? I don't know

JakFishman:

have you been working with a formula here recently?

Foreverangel:

No this isn't even for math

JakFishman:

oh so yea would have helped if i read the cad. so lets see what you already know can you tell me what you know about this problem?

Debrus:

by looking at the sequence \( 55, \ 176, \ 539, \ 1628 \ ... \) you can create 3 `(2 is enough as well ) ` simple equations given that you multiply \(x \) to it, and then add \(y \) to get the following number so the sequence is : \( \color{lightblue}{55}, \ \color{tomato}{55\times \:x+y=176} , \ \color{lightgreen}{176\times \:x+y=539}, \ \color{slateblue}{539\times \:x+y=1628} \) so, we would have this system: \begin{cases} \color{tomato}{55\times \:x+y=176}\\ \color{lightgreen}{176\times \:x+y=539}\\ \color{slateblue}{539\times \:x+y=1628}\end{cases} just solve the system above, and then perform \( x+y \), and you will have an answer!

surjithayer:

you are given the system above and you need to solve it. subtract first from second (176-55)x+y-y=539-176 121 x=363 x=363/121=3 from first \[55 \times 3+y=176\] 165+y=176 y=176-165=11 x=3 y=11 x+y=3+11=?
