Thanks!

SwaggyMark:

do you think you have an idea of what you are looking for?

SwaggyMark:

The question is asking us to average rate of the reaction over the first 580 seconds. So in other words we are looking for the rate of change in concentration during the first 580 seconds So first we need to find the change in concentration from 0 seconds to 580 seconds. It starts off at 1.8M and at 580 seconds its at 0.6M So knowing this what would the change in concentration be?

kekeman:

2.0 × 10−3

SwaggyMark:

yes because 1.8 - .6 = 1.2 and 1.2/580 = 0.00206896551 and 0.00206896551 is written as 2.0 x 10^-3 in scientific notation
