so like a first step on the left side there are 2 hidrogen atoms with 1 oxigen and on the right side there are 4 hidrogen atoms with 2 oxigen how can you balance these ? any idea ?

Hey, here's your answer CaC₂ + 2H₂O -> C₂H₂ + Ca(OH)₂ Explanation: First, we put 2 in as a coefficient in front of our H₂O. Then, we double the Hydrogens 2 x 2 = 4 and 2 + 2 = 4 (so both (H) sides equal 4) Then, we double the Oxygens 1 x 2 = 2 and o = 2 (so both (O) sides equal 2) Finally, after we balance the chemical equation it will look like this: CaC₂ + 2H₂O -> C₂H₂ + Ca(OH)₂ Diagram can be shown in attachments:
