x+4=\[2 \sqrt{2}\]
x-1 = \[\sqrt{54}\]
first one is 3(x+4)^2 - 24 = 0 shifting constant to RHS 3(x+4)^2 = 24 dividing both sides by 3 (x+4)^2 = 8 taking squareroot of both sides x+4 = +/- root8 x+4 = +/- 2root2 x = -4 +/- 2root2
